Ping Back

I recently got a Comment on one of my Blog Posts, but basically what it was, was a Link back to their site, where they had me on a List of Favorite Blogs to Read. I didn’t like the way the Link Looked, not only that, but you couldn’t see what they Wrote about my Post unless you Clicked it. I’m assuming that’s by design, a way to boost their own Views I guess. But I really didn’t like the way it looked. Am I missing something here? I’m sure the logic is they put me on a list on their Site, so I would be helping them get Views by accepting the Ping Back Link.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We don’t have to approve pingbacks and if any “feel” wrong to you then don’t approve them. If you are looking for more than that you could read this > Trackback and Pingback Spam: What to do?

Yeah, initially I approved it not realizing it was just going to leave a Link on my Blog Post Comments area, so then I removed it. Yes, perhaps if the site looked interesting, but it really just looked like it almost existed completely for the sake of getting Views. Funky. Thanks for your input, I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything.

    Thanks Time

    Hi there,
Without doubt there are opportunists everywhere and it does take some time and experience to spot them. You seem to be doing well and you’re welcome. :)
