Ping configuration for wordpress blog

  I am trying to configure ping services for wordpress blog.but I am not able to find “UPDATE SERVICE OPTION”.I tried to do soo in option> writing but there is no option for ping/”UPDATE SERVICE OPTION”.

  please help me

  Are you hosted by WordPress.com? If you have an independently-hosted blog using WordPress software, you need to be at WordPress.org, as suggested in the sticky thread at the head of the forum called Read Me First.

  Otherwise, WP.com automatically pings Pingomatic every time you update your blog. Some of us also manually ping Pingoat.com, just as a backup.
