Ping List

I believe that you failed to read the sticky post at the head of this forum. There is no FTP access to wordpress.COM blogs and we cannot install plugins. However now you have posted a colink to a post that is about installing a plugin into a wordpress.ORG install. Hopefully this will not confuse any new bloggers here at wordpress.COM.

    Please read > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

joer223 Timethief’s blogging is inspirational, and it routinely inspires people to attempt to blog “how to blog” stuff, including me when I first started out. The problem is, unless one is an astonishingly successful blogger, one really doesn’t know what one is talking about. As well, most of what you would want to cover has already been covered, a thousand times, so it’s very difficult for you to get any exposure.

If you want to provide a service to new WP bloggers, your best bet is not to reinvent the wheel but to focus on the NEW features in WP, because those haven’t been blogged before. New theme reviews, tips and tricks to use newer features like reblogging etc, are always welcome and on new features, the playing ground is level, because NOBODY is an expert on them yet.

This is an old thread from a month ago and Joer223 and I are in frequent contact. We have no issues between us. However, yesterday the thread was pulled from the search box by a blogger who wanted to promote his post on a wordpress.ORG plugin, depite the fact we cannot upload individual plugins into wordpress.com blogs.

I Modlooked this thread as I expected our Moderator or Staff would remove the wordpress.org link found here > https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/ping-list?replies=22#post-472018 I guess they didn’t agree with me because the Modlook tags was removed and the wordpress.ORG plugin link has not been removed.

I dont’ think they actually DO that, do they? They’ve always left them as far as I can see.
