  Hi there. Pingbacks are created automatically when you link to another blog on WordPress. The only condition is you have to create a link with the full URL in the address bar, not the short URL you can get from the WordPress admin bar. Pingbacks should work to sites not hosted on WordPress.com as well, but it also depends on the settings on those sites. http://en.support.wordpress.com/comments/pingbacks/
