Pingbacks

  It seems that my pingbacks for the Weekly Photo Challenges are hit and miss. Sometimes they appear, sometimes they don’t. For the most recent two (“Descent” and “Minimalist”) the pingbacks have not worked. Any ideas why, and how I can ensure they show up in the future?

  Hi, there. It looks like your site is a self-hosted WordPress.org site. So you’ll get better results asking this question on the WordPress.org forums:

  I don’t think my issue is with .org hosting; I think it’s with the .com’s Daily Post’s method of recognizing pingbacks from self-hosted sites. The .org info about pingbacks is the same as that for .com (“To create a pingback, just link to another blog post. If that post has pingbacks enabled, the blog owner will see a pingback appear in their comments section that they can approve”). I know how to create a pingback; I want to know why they’re not showing up on a wordpress.com blog (Daily Post).
