pingbacks are not working on daily prompt

I’ve noticed again today that pingbacks seem disabled on the Daily Post Prompts:
https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/transformation/ and (yesterday’s ’embarrassing’ prompts – no pingbacks are working.)
Can you advise?

For some reason pingbacks are not working for Daily Post Prompts. This is the second day it’s not worked.

Yes, I too have noticed that pingbacks are not working. You’d think by now someone would have seen Zero Responses two days running, and put two and two – or rather zero and zero – together. But perhaps they have, and just can’t fix it.

Are you saying that pingbacks on the Staff blog at https://dailypost.wordpress.com/blogging-university/ are not working?

‘Fraid I have no idea what all the above means. I was talking about the Daily Post Prompt. They publish a title/idea every day; you can write a post inspired by that title/idea, and if you include a link (pingback) it appears on the Daily Post Prompt page as a Response. For two days, there has been a title/idea but Zero Responses. This is not because people haven’t been trying to respond, but because they have been trying to respond and pingbacks are not working.

Type modlook sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help is all that you had to do and I did it for you.

Well, thank you for doing whatever you did. I don’t understand what you did, but that is probably because we are speaking different kinds of English. No worries. I will just wait and see if pingbacks get cured, and if they don’t I will give up on the Daily Post. Be happy. :)

I too posted in here about the pingbacks. Thanks for the tip re: the modlook tag timethief, I didn’t know about that before so just added it to mine too.

There is another situation. I read other people’s blogs and want to offer a comment. I type in my reply , press the enter button and nothing. Somewhere the glitch is growng.. Grrrrrrrrr

@gcharb, this sounds more like an Akismet issue. Head over to the Akismet Contact page – https://akismet.com/contact/ – and select the option, “I think Akismet is catching my comments by mistake”. We can give you a test comment form to complete to see exactly what’s going wrong.
