pingbacks etiquette
-
A blogger and I have noticed that there is an abundance of pingbacks even tho the person who is uses it have not actually seen the post. For example, today, I have at least 4 or 5 pingbacks and none of these bloggers have actually read my post. As a test, I wrote a note at the bottom no pingback please unless they have read, liked or commented my post. No such luck. What is the etiquette on this especially the daily prompts. Thank you.

Hi, raincoaster. Your response doesn’t really answer anything about pingback etiquette. There’s etiquette on writing a comment and I want to know about the pingback.
What does WordPress.com have?

Then I don’t understand your question, which seems to me to be about people who leave pingbacks by linking to your blog when they haven’t read the post. You don’t have to display pingbacks. A pingback is an automatically generated snippet which displays as a comment and shows where your blog has been linked from.
