Pingbacks from .org sites to .com sites

  I have a wordpress.org site with pingbacks enabled. I used to be able to participate in Weekly Photo Challenges without issue, but for the past few months none of my pingbacks have appeared. My pingbacks do appear on other sites without issue; the only problem seems to be when I participate in Daily Post events. I knew that you were investigated pingback issues, but thought they were resolved. Are wordpress.org users supposed to be able to have their pingbacks on wordpress.com sites appear? If not, it would be awesome if that could be more clear. If they are, could you look into what’s going on with mine?

  Thought I’d follow up as my pingback this week didn’t work either. Are pingbacks on the Daily Post articles limited to wordpress.com sites, or should my wordpress.org pingbacks work too (again, they work just fine on other sites!)?

  They’re edited and approved or disapproved, so I would expect you’re not getting approved because this is a WordPress.com initiative to create value in the community of WP.com itself. I’m not staff, though, so I cannot be sure.
