Pingbacks not appearing in comments section

  A number of sites picked up this post of mine: http://gsik.wordpress.com/2008/05/04/dave-chappelle-and-why-i-love-new-york/

  but the pingbacks don’t appear in the comments section. Any idea why that might be the case?

  They may’ve deleted them or it may be in their spam box. Whenever I’m trackbacked, it shows up in my moderation cue. Sometimes I accept the trackback, and sometimes I don’t.

  Also, not everyone has their options set to notify other blogs about pingbacks/trackbacks.

  hmmm.. i don’t see anything in my spam or moderation queue and looks like the sites still have the links up:

  Correct, and if they’re not WordPress.com blogs, then they won’t show up as trackbacks.

  wow, i had no idea. thanks! i wonder if wordpress is expanding functionality to include trackbacks from external sites.
