Pingbacks show on mobile static front page, not normal front page

I’ve got a static front page.

If you look at the site with a browser, it’s fine.

If you go to the page on a mobile it uses the mobile version. That’s good, but for some reason the mobile version of the static first page shows pingbacks. I suspect some are spam.

They don’t show up on the edit page, making it hard to remove them.

Is this a known problem or am I doing something wrong?
