    Each and every time you create a a properly formed link in your blog to another site the software sends a pingback.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/comments/pingbacks/

    If your pingback is not displaying then that’s too bad because getting traffic from the Staff blog and other such memes is the easy way to “blog”. For some bloggers it’s the only form of blogging they do and the major source of traffic they have to their sites.

    I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. Note there is a backlog so you will have to wait patiently for Staff help.

    Thank you, timethief –

    I believe I am a relatively experienced blogger with a decent follower base, and I have never had problems with pingbacks, until very recently. My only hope now is staff asisstance )

    Thanks again!

    You’re welcome. It’s unlikely that the issue is that the pingbacks are not being generated. It’s probably just an issue of them displaying on the Staff blog.

    @artmoscow

    I searched everywhere on the DailyPost blog, and unfortunately, I couldn’t find your pingback anywhere. It’s definitely not appearing on the individual post, and your pingback isn’t in moderation or spam anywhere. I’m honestly not sure why it’s not appearing.

    It looks like you went through the necessary steps and linked the post correctly. There isn’t a way for us to manually trigger a pingback other than having you publish the post again, which isn’t the best solution.

    If you would like, you can publish the post again. Otherwise, please keep me posted and let me know if a pingback fails on your next post.
