Pinging a wordpress.com blog with a dedicated .com domain

I have a two-week old poetry blog on WordPress.com for which I recently obtained a dedicated .com address.

I want to use ping-o-matic to ensure it is pinged to a variety of destinations including Google.

My perception is that my .com blog is still a sub-domain of WordPress.com and all I am paying for is the aesthetic appearance of a dedicated.com address.

I believe my .com blog is still on the WordPress.com server and all that happens is that WordPress redirects to my .com address.

So, what url should I be entering on ping-o-matic?

    poetryandshortfiction.com
    or

    poetryandshortfiction.wordpress.com

    Thanks for your help

    A happy WordPress.com user,

Pingomatic is built into all WordPress.COM blogs (actually all WordPress software – both .COM & .ORG) – so nothing for you to do – your blog is already calling the search engines

    Thank-you for the clarification.

I was not sure if I had had to do the pinging myself now that the blog has a dedicated .com domain.
