Pinging search engines

  I see in the FAQs that when a new post is made, WordPress pings Google Blog Search and 15+ other sites.

  Is that true for new PAGE content as well? And is Google search engine pinged? Or just Google Blog Search engine? Thanks!

  I believe the pings go out any time you publish, whether it’s a post or a page. My pages are indexed.
