Pingoat Error Message
-
For the past six weeks, I have been getting an error message when I attempt to ping through pingoat. The error message reads as follows:
Duplicate entry ‘1073812’ for key 1
I have tried repeatedly to contact their support with no success. Is this something I can correct myself?

When I read your response, raincoaster, I thought “What a brilliant idea!” Problem is if you go to pingoat there doesn’t seem to be an option for starting from scratch. The procedure is the same each time you use them.
As a test, I just tried putting it another website, other than my own, filled in everything
and receive the same prompt:Duplicate entry ‘1073812’ for key 1
Does that tell you anything more?

UPDATE:
Raincoaster, I went to another browser last night and tried re-registering at Pingoat. It seemed to work, although as you may recall, there’s a certain “grace period” required before it takes effect. This morning I tried it and received the same prompt: Duplicate entry ‘1073812’ for key 1.
This is seriously affecting my traffic since I can’t ping any new entries. Has no one else experienced this? As stated in my previous email, I have sent them countless pleas for assistance, including one following the re-registering snafu this morning, all to no avail.

Talk about annoying. I can’t get this thing to work and I get the same error everyone else is getting. I don’t know where you ‘register’ for that site because pingoat doesn’t have any links for it.
-
why not try to use a different pinging service instead? :D

That’s a useful suggestion.
It will “forget” you if you clear your cookies and cache and then you go to Pingoat.com and sign in the plain old-fashioned way. That’s what I did. But Pingoat is prone to errors as well, and their Support is non-responsive. We’re all wondering when this fabulous new traffic-generating whatever is going to launch.
