If you could upload the image you’re referring to to your Media Library, I’ll be able to take a look at it there. You can do this through your Dashboard, under Media > Add New. Here’s a link.
If you reply back here once the image is uploaded, I can look into your error message.

Looking at that error message, it looks like you’re having Pinterest attempt its connection using a file upload. Verifying a WordPress.com site is done using their alternate method of verification, HTML meta tags. It looks like you’ve already added the code to your Dashboard through the Tools menu, which is great!
Could you follow the directions provided by Pinterest here, which should verify the site using that meta tag? It looks like the error message also has a link that might take you to the meta tag verification.
