Pinterest hover button

  I would like to easily make my images available for pinning. As of now, I need to manually build a “pin it” button that sits under each of my images in my blog posts. Question: Does WordPress.com offer the ability to create pinterest hover buttons and is there an automatic way to place these buttons in each post?

  I’ve noticed that wordpress.org makes this option of a hover button available but as far as I can tell, wordpress.com doesn’t. Any advice?

  Hi there,

  You can enable a sharing button to allow visitors to pin your posts to Pinterest. We have instructions for enabling those sharing buttons here: Sharing

  However, there isn’t a way to create Pinterest hover buttons for pinning individual images if you have more than one image in your post. That’s a neat idea, though! I’ve passed it along to our developers to consider for future features and updates. :)

  The “Pin it” hover button has been added! It now gets auto-enabled if you have connected Pinterest in Settings > Sharing and selected the “Official buttons” option for button style setting.

  Thanks! I can see the change. That makes it much easier for readers to pin from my blog.
