Pinterest plug-in

  Is there a Pinterest plug-in available so that we can put the “Pin It” button on photos in the body of our blog posts? If so, where would I find it?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Settings->Sharing. It’s not a plug-in. It is built in to your blog.

  Hi, Raincoaster! Thank you for your response! I looked in “Settings”, and that’s where I was able to find the “Follow Me On Pinterest” button (along with Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, etc.), but the “Pin It” button is not there that I can see. Upon further investigation, it appears that putting the “Pin It” button on your pages so readers can just hit that button is only available through WordPress.ORG as opposed to WordPress.COM which is what I have. If I’m missing something, PLEASE let me know. I’d really like to put that button on there if possible. Thank you again so much for your help!

  You can use any widget that has pure HTML but you cannot use any widgets that contain restricted codes like iframes or JavaScript widgets. In the case of Pinterest, you cannot use the Pin-it Javascript code on a WordPress.com blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

  But you can put the code for the Pinterest follow button in a text widget.
  1. Go to this site, choose which one of the red Follow Me images you want, and copy the code for it. http://pinterest.com/about/goodies/

  2. Then, go to your widgets > Appearance > Widgets and select a text widget.http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/

  3. Paste the Pinterest follow button code into the text widget, “save” the widget, “close” the widget and place it where you want it to display in your sidebar.

  Thank you, TimeThief. I have that on my blog, and I appreciate your tutelage. What I was looking for now was to have the PIN IT button as opposed to the FOLLOW ME ON PINTEREST button which I already have. Do you know if there’s a way to get that PIN IT button? From what I’ve seen, there isn’t on WordPress.com…only on WordPress.org. :-(
