Pinterest Plugin for WordPress upgrade
-
I have the upgrade of wordpress ($18/yr or something) so it doesn’t show marjoriedudley.wordpress.com in my url… just marjoriedudley.com… however it actually reads marjoriedudleydotcom.wordpress.com on my dashboard.
However, I still don’t think I can get a plugin for pinterest. Can someone tell me if I can add pinterest plugin or not. Thanks, md
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No you cannot add any plugins at all. There is no FTP access to WordPress.com blogs and there is no upgrade that changes that reality.
The pin it button is JavaScript and can be used on WordPress.org installs but not on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/There are sharing icons you can enable including a Pinterest one to display at the bottom of your posts by following this guide. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/ When you use the Pinterest sharing button on a post, it opens up all images in that post, with the titles below them, so you can select which to pin, and there’s typically a pin for the post itself as well that shows the author Gravatar.
You can capture an image of a Pinterest icon and upload it, link to it and display it in a text widget. I have done this here in the text widget at the top of my sidebar for those who want to follow me on Pinterest.
For creating links in a text widget see:

NOTE http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/#adding-an-imageYou can upload image files by clicking the Add Media button right above the editing area of a page or a post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/add-media/
You can also upload new files to your Media Library using Media → Add New. http://support.wordpress.com/media/media-add-new

I’m in Canada and the blog is correctly redirecting to your domain for me. See here to observe the progress https://www.whatsmydns.net/ and know it’s not uncommon for your own ISP to be last to flush their DNS cache.
The URL your visitors see is http://marjoriedudley.com/ and the URLs you see for media files on your Admin side of the blog will be the underlying .wordpress.com URLs. That is normal behavior for a mapped domain.
