  Hi I am trying to verify with pinterest.

  I know that the meta tag does not work as it is javascript. I downloaded the html file from the site, and now it needs to be uploaded to my wordpress blog.

  How do I create a widget in which I can upload this file? I have tried creating a text widget, but it does not give the option to upload a file.

  It seems really unreasonable that this is such an issue here, and so difficult since pinterest and wordpress are both so popular.

  This is not a widget issue. You need to use only this guide for a WordPress.COM hosted blog > http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/#pinterest-site-verification
