Pintrest Instruction I need to follow re index.html file?

    Pintrest have an instruction to “Copy and paste this tag to the <head> section of your website’s index.html file”.
    I would be able to do this if I had access I believe to a Cpanel but maybe there is another way?

    Hi richardellwood,

    Are you trying to verify your Pinterest account?

    If so, you can navigate to your WordPress site’s dashboard, scroll down and click on Settings, then click on Traffic, scroll down to the bottom and you’ll see Pinterest listed as an option and you can enter the verification information there.

    Let me know if I’ve presume wrong and describe what it is that you’re trying to do with Pinterest and your WordPress site.

    Hi James,
    Firstly I want to thank you for your quick reply I appreciate that fact alone.
    Unfortunately, on WordPress.com there isn’t a Traffic section to click on under Settings.
    In fact, I’ve just had a look at another one of my sites on a different platform and that doesn’t have Traffic as a drop-down either?

    I have already confirmed my Pintrest account but I just thought I’d go along with their instructions so that I could get some backlinks to my blog. Not a big issue my friend, I am not a big Pinner or whatever it’s called anyway.

    Hi Rick,

    No problem on the quick reply and I hope that this can be resolved for you.

    I am logging in through WordPress.com. For myself, when I navigate to WordPress.com, the screen opens initially on ‘Reader.’ Besides ‘Reader’ on the top left corner is ‘My Sites.’

    After I click on ‘My Sites’, I’m able to scroll down and on the bottom left is ‘Settings.’

    Now where I may have not described correctly for you is that when you click on ‘Settings’ – a new screen appears on the right. There, you should see the headings of ‘General’, ‘Writing’, ‘Discussion’, and ‘Traffic,’ along with ‘site profile’, etc.

    Click on Traffic and then scroll down and you’ll see Site Verification Services including Pinterest.

    Does this not occur for you?
