Pique cafe WP.com theme – bug on menu or a feature?

Hello there,
I am currently using the theme Pique Cafe from WP.com.
I have noticed something that I am unsure if it is a bug or not.
When I have submenus on the “Principal (Primary Menu),” a dropdown menu appears when floating the cursor over the Menu Item. If I click on the submenu itens on the dropdown menu, I go to the linked page directly. But if I click on the Menu item, I do not go to the page and the dropdown menu becomes frozen — then I need to click again on the Menu Item to go to the linked page.
As far as I know, this “freezing” feature is not necessary at all… but I am unsure, since the demo does not contain submenus.

If you had looked at the theme documentation (https://wordpress.com/theme/), you would have noticed that Pique Cafe has two Menu options: Dynamic Menu and Primary Menu. We are using both options. The one I am asking about is the Primary Menu, which, according to documentation:
If you selected the Dynamic Menu, as described in the previous section, the Primary Menu will appear on all pages except the front page.

This behavior is not expected.
I have reported the issue to our developers. We can’t provide a specific timeline for a fix here but we are looking into this and really appreciate you reaching out about this issue!
