"Pique" lag

  I tried using the Pique theme with my blog, however, it is very laggy. All the other themes run very smoothly, but with Pique, the framerate drops and it does not run smoothly at all.

  Do you mean that scrolling down the front page of your site is not smooth, or do you mean something else? A few more details about what you’re experiencing would be very helpful.

  Does this happen in multiple browsers or just one?

  Please let me know the browser, version, and your operating system for all browsers in which you’re experiencing the problem.

  What I mean is that when I use the theme “Pique”, the front page is very laggy, in other words very jittery and not smooth. It only happens on the front page of the site and only on this theme. When I open a post, it is normal like on other themes. One thing I did notice though is that the lag is very high on the front page where I have featured images in the background. The page becomes smoother when I scroll over posts that don’t have featured images yet.

  Here are a few details:
  I am using a MacBook Pro and I opened the site on Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. All three of them have the same issue that the page is very laggy and not smooth, but Chrome seems to be a bit better. However, Safari is my everyday browser and the condition is pretty bad on it.

  Safari version: 9.0.2 (latest)
  OS X version: 10.11.2 (latest)

  Thanks for the clarification on what you’re experiencing and the browser/OS specs. I’ll bring this to our developers so they can take a look.

  We made a change to Pique that should improve scrolling. Feel free to clear your browsers’ cache and give it a try.

  I must say the scrolling is 10x better now to the point that it is “usable”.

  For a long time I used the theme Intergalactic, which is also a image-heavy theme like Pique. However, it is amazingly smooth, with no lag.

  I would appreciate if Pique could also come to that level because I like that theme a lot. Anyways, thanks for the help.
