Pique – One Page Menu Disappeared

Hi, I have produced a website on WordPress.com: https://zombicrypto.wordpress.com/ and had this up and running with the onepage menu – however I just changed the title in the site and for some reason it lost the theme – I reapplied the Pique theme but now cant get the one page menu working – I have gone into Theme, Theme Options and ticked Add anchor menu… – I then go into the panels and select some of the pages I have (As I had setup originally) then it shows and works in the preview on the right, if I save and check the front-end – No menu appears – Help please, as I dont know how to get this working again?

Hi! Pique has a unique setup in that you have to specify panel pages. We have a guide here:
https://wordpress.com/theme/piqueBasically you’ll just want to create other pages as panels, then add them in using Customizer.
OR: you can get a similar effect with newer themes if you’re interested! You would just add a series of cover blocks instead. They can also have a fixed background if you’d like:
https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/cover-block/#fixed-backgroundSo, depending on what you like about Pique, that may be a good option.

Hi, thanks for your reply – I understand how to setup Pique, I had the site populated and working for last two weeks with a single page and other pages displaying as panels with no problems – however the theme seemed to disappear this morning, so I re-activated and now the menu doesnt work – I try re-adding the pages as panels and it works in the admin preview and if I save as a draft it works, however when I publish it no longer works on the front-end published site – I have tried un-activating and re-activating the theme but just doesnt work – In the past I have always hosted my own WordPress sites so would have just started from scratch, but this time I have used free WordPress.com to build so seem to have limited options to try and fix the error I am getting?

Right now I’m not seeing any options saved under Customize > Theme Options > Panels.
Can you let us know which pages should be selected there? Or, go ahead and re-add them and save a draft?
Also:

I did notice the site title is missing; can you tell us how you went about changing that?

Hi, I have just recreated the menu and saved a draft: https://zombicrypto.wordpress.com/?customize_changeset_uuid=ff82bd58-833f-40be-8118-bfcbb24c0289 – This is also the problem I have started having, it doesnt seem to retain the menu when saved. – On site Title I am happy to leave this blank for this design, if not then it should prob be: Zombi Crypt-o – Thanks for your help on this

If the draft doesnt work, the order should be: ‘Tokenomics’, ‘Crypt-o Roadmap’, ‘The moon is so pretty, lets go to it’, ‘Join the Zombi Horde’, ‘The Inner Horde’, ‘It’s Alive!’ – Thanks

We have seen some other similar reports, and it seems like there’s a bug preventing the settings from being saved. The bug itself has already been fixed, but our developers still need to fix the affected sites.

Great thanks, do you have a rough timeline until my site will be fixed as I was ready to launch prior to this?, also do I need to do anything from my end? – Thanks

We do not have a timeline, but it’s our highest priority to fix this.
There’s no need to do anything from your end; once there’s a fix in place, the developers will post an update on the GitHub issue I linked above :). -
