Pique picture repeat

I’m using the Pique theme, and have added a blog post with a featured image. When I’m at the blog section (https://joetherat.wordpress.com/blog/), the background image of the post excerpt is tiled and keeps repeating itself if you scroll down (if you have a big enough screen). I’ve posted about this problem before in the forum, and I received a suggestion to make sure the image was at least 1400×1000 px. This partly solved it. When I’m viewing this page on a 17 inch screen, it looks good. However, when I view the same page on a 27 inch iMac screen, the tiling starts again. Is there a way to fix this, regardless of screen size?

Hi there. I see the same issue on the demo – https://piquedemo.wordpress.com/blog/ so I’ll report this to our theme developers. They’ll take a look to see if anything can be done and we’ll keep you posted here.

I also notice some similar problems with the background pictures on my homepage. Might this be related?

I hope your theme developers will do something about it. It’s such a cool theme =)

No news – our developers work on theme issues in order of priority and since there have only been a couple of reports of this issue since the theme launched, it isn’t high on the list. It’s also not a quick fix, so it’s something that needs a bit of time devoted to it.

If it’s something that really bothers you, you might consider checking out another theme with a similar one-page design:

Heya, one of our developers had a chance to take a look at improving the panel background display, and it should be better now — the repeats should be gone. Have a look!
