also what size should the featured image be in order for it to show the full image and not tile the image?

@eyesonsocial all of the specs including recommended image sizes are listed here:
https://wordpress.com/themes/piqueThe images may tile anyway if you have a long panel. You could probably get an upgrade and use CSS to change that if needed. Or, consider using a “read more” tag to split it into another article.
Also, Pique just comes with 8 panels.

Quick Specs (all measurements in pixels)
The recommended Featured Image size is at least 1400 by 1000. The theme will scale and crop the images depending on the page and device size.

I’ve seen somebody else with the same template and they have 20 panels here is the link to their page https://shloakcas.wordpress.com

Hi @eyesonsocial,
That other site has the Your latest posts option checked under the Customizer’s Static Front Page panel. Each of the panel’s on the home page are therefore linked to a post, rather than a page.
If you decide to display your latest posts on your home page in a similar way then you wouldn’t be able to edit each of the panel’s via the Customizer’s Theme Options panel. Instead, your most recent posts will be displayed.
Let me know if that helps out or if you have extra questions.
