Pique Theme

  • Unknown's avatar

I am trying to use the Pique Cafe theme. I am not trying anything fancy. I just want to use the theme as it is. I am unable to do so. Why are the images not included in the theme? I could temporarily use the same images and everything. Now there is a solid color background, no transparency.

I have set a Home page but it does not render like the demo. I am not trying anything different yet. I just want the same images, same transparency, only the menu titles change. Yet, somehow, it renders differently. The home page renders below the default page, I don’t know why.

    Could somebody help please?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

Have you tried reviewing the themes support page?

Let us know if you have more questions

    Cheers!

  • Hi adityanawandar – are you referring to this site? https://adityanawandar.com/

Did you decide to use Kelly instead, or would you like to give Pique another try?

If you switch back to Pique, there is a tool I can run to set up your site like the Pique demo.

    There are two options:

1 – Before adding demo content, the tool can first remove all your existing content, including posts, pages, widgets, menus, comments, etc. This cannot be undone.

    OR

2 – The tool can add demo content in addition to your existing content. This may result in some duplicates that you can then delete on your own.

Please confirm the site and let me know which option you prefer, if you’d like to give Pique another try.

    Hello Kathrynwp,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
Yes, that’s the site I am referring to.
And yes, I would like to give it another try.
I would choose the second option; keeping my configuration + adding everything from Pique. I will remove the duplicated stuff manually later.

  • Hi Aditya – thanks for confirming. Could you please go ahead and switch your site’s theme to Pique? Let me know when that’s done and then I can run the setup tool.

    Hello Kathrynwp,

I have changed my site theme to Pique. Please just make sure you don’t remove any content from the site. Thank you.

Actually, you could remove the current images (background and header, both). For now you could put all the default images of the theme. I will change the images later.
    Thank you.

  • I just ran the Headstart tool on adityanawandar.com, adding demo content to your existing content. Let me know if I can help with anything else.

    Thank you.

But it still doesn’t look like the demo.
The Menu has a solid brown background, the demo doesn’t have that.
The same thing is applicable to my posts under “ek shauqiin shayar ki kalam se”. Theres a solid color background. I want a transparent background.

Also, the blog title should be displayed like how “pique cafe” is displayed in the demo.

  • I’d be glad to help you finish setting up your site. I’ll do it in separate replies here:

Also, the blog title should be displayed like how “pique cafe” is displayed in the demo.

“Pique Cafe” on the demo is a logo graphic, not the Site Title. You can create a graphic and upload it in the Customizer, in the Site Identity panel’s Logo area.

  • The Menu has a solid brown background, the demo doesn’t have that.

I assume you’re referring to the menu on pages other than the front page, like this one:

    https://adityanawandar.com/about-2/

The Pique demo doesn’t link to any interior pages, but if it did, you could see that the menu background looks the same as yours. Here’s the About page from the demo, for example:

    https://piquedemo.wordpress.com/about-us/

If you wanted to change the brown background strip behind the menu, you could change the site’s colour scheme by going to your Customizer’s Colors & Backgrounds panel and clicking on Palettes. From there, you have a choice of six colour palettes.

If you wanted to choose a specific colour for the menu background, you could do that with Custom CSS, which is available with the Premium or Business plans.

  • The same thing is applicable to my posts under “ek shauqiin shayar ki kalam se”. Theres a solid color background. I want a transparent background.

This is something you could use custom CSS to modify. I’d be glad to help you with the code if you decide to go with a Premium or Business plan – just let me know.

What is the best size for the logo in the pique theme?

  • darlabalthaser170 – we recommend at least 512 × 512px for the Pique logo.
