Pique Theme – Adding text to header?

    Hello – please can someone help and let me know how I can add contact number and email to the header in this free theme Pique? Everything else looks perfect (Its not finished so lots of gaps in pages) I just want to be able to put a telephone number and email address on top header area/bar/space on home/front page – Is this possible or not? Thanks in advance

    Hi there,

    There isn’t a built in way to add content to Pique’s header area. I see you’ve already added your contact information via a text widget to the site’s footer, which is a good alternative.

    If it’s important for you to be able to add that information to the header then you could consider upgrading to WordPress.com Premium or Business. Both of those plans would enable you to add custom CSS and it would be possible to add some content to the header using CSS (we can help with specific CSS if you upgrade).

    Another option is to switch to a free theme that supports content in the header by default. Lodestar is an example of a one page theme (like Pique) that supports some content in the header area by default.

    Hello, thank you for your response, appreciate it. I know of Lodestar but didnt want to use that one..is there any other ones that can add text to header or is that the only one? Thanks in advance.. and its a shame there isnt an option for text to header on pique would have been perfect. Never mind,

    Hi there,

    I had a look but not many of our free themes support extra text in the header area, beyond the title and tagline.

    Have you had a look at Sequential? You could add some content to the upper right of that theme.

    Gateway also supports some extra, eye-grabbing text beneath its logo and title.

    If none of our free options suit, you could consider upgrading to WordPress.com Premium or Business so that you can then access more advanced customisation options or choose from one of our Premium themes.
