Pique theme – Can I have TWO pages with panels?

I think I’m finally mastering the Pique theme, thanks to the help of experts in this forum that saw my errors and helped me correct them.

So I have a Home Page with panels as an overview.
I have a blog page with articles.

I wanted to add a Studio Specifics page with more panels describing in more detail the many features and amenities of the studio. I’m going to try and build one, and I expect it won’t work, or that I may have trouble getting the menu system to let me put this Studio Specifics page in the dynamic menu.

Short of that, I’ll have to design a full width page without panels, but I’ll still need a way to get the Studio Specifics page into the Home Page (with panels) menu.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Looks like it’s a no to two panel pages.
I created the second static page, and the Customize > Theme Options has only Menu settings. No panels.

I did turn off the “Anchor” menu on the home page that put links to each of the panels so visitors could get to the new Studio Stats page. But it looks like I’ll have to design that from scratch with no help from the theme.

The challenge will be getting it to look like the rest of the theme with text over various background images- something I do not think standard page or post authoring allows at all.

I’m really not looking forward to having to build it outside of WordPress and bring in a series of big images. That defeats the purpose of using a content management system, and a theme to make it look pretty.

Well, I took away the 100 pix tall logo, and replaced it with a 200 pix tall header image, which works beautifully for both the header and footer everywhere except the Home page with panels.

If I leave the logo in place, it appears over the header image (with a bigger logo) on every other page. Ugh.

Why no header image on the static home page?

When I add the header image to the Home Page (i.e. the top panel) the space between the menu and the first item more than doubles.

i.e. if it’s text, it’s half the distance
than if it’s the header image dropped in as the first item on the page.

    Very irregular.

    Hi,

What do you mean by a “dynamic menu?”

The site https://friscostudios.us/ evidently has five panels, plus the static front page. You can add three more panels to the front page.

I created the second static page, and the Customize > Theme Options has only Menu settings. No panels.

Some themes have an optional “Front Page Template” that you may assign to multiple static pages. The Pique theme doesn’t have such a template. Instead, the page set as the front page adopts the special front page format, with the eight panels, etc.

There’s really nine panels, including the static front page panel, but for some reason the panel enumeration begins with the one that follows the static front page.

What other themes have that front page template that I could possibly assign to multiple pages?

I don’t want to add more panels to the front page right now.
But I do want a separate page solely about the studio, the waiting area, outside area, control room, dressing rooms, etc.

I’m considering having that second page about the studio, and then using an image gallery with as big images as I can muster on that page.

Shoreditch allows you to apply a multi-panel template to more than one page. Choose the “Panel Page Template” for each page on which you’d like multiple panels.
