Pique theme – can't add panels

  Hi there,
  I’m having a problem adding panels to the Pique theme homepage. The instructions say to go to Customize -> Theme Options, then choose a page from the drop down. But there is no drop down. There’s only Menu Settings.
  I have Javascript installed and activated, I’m the only administrator and I own the site, and I cleared my cache.
  Can anyone help?

  Alright, I got the panels to show by changing the homepage so it was no longer static. But now when I actually select a page from the drop-down, nothing changes, even though the page does have an image and text on it. Still no panel actually appearing.

  Some thing is happening with me. I can add panels in the customize menu. But they never show up on the site itself.
