Pique Theme-Customizing Colors and Backgrounds
-
I am having some trouble creating a custom palette for this theme. The Default palettes are applied when I select them, but I don’t understand how I can create a palette of my own for this theme as I don’t see any options for creating and saving one.
This issue was addressed and the topic closed previously here:
Pique theme – colours (etc.)Are the custom palettes only available to premium users?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
The “custom palettes” referred to by staff member @kathrynwp in the topic Pique theme – colours, footer, like button bugs are evidently the same six palette options that you’ve referred to as the “Default palettes.” There are only six ready-made palettes to choose from, regardless of the plan you choose, though you’d be able to create your own palettes with “Advanced Design Customization” available on the Premium and Business Plans.
On the free plan, the manual options available at Customize > Colors & Backgrounds will vary from theme to theme. With the Pique theme applied the manual options are limited to adding a colored border (left and right) to the site, which will only appear on large screens or under selected browser settings (zoomed out).

I should have said “the manual options seem to be limited to adding a colored border…,” because that’s the only effect I noticed in my tests with the manual color options.

Thank you so much for the quick response! It helps a lot to know that I’m not looking for something that isn’t there. :)

You’re welcome! I hope that I’ve understood and answered correctly. If you would like a definitive response from staff or have further questions in this regard, then you may add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar at the right here to call for staff attention. : -)
