Pique theme header 2 won't centre

    Hello,
    I am using Pique theme to re model my website. I love it except for one thing.

    On one post I want to have several headings through the page. When I choose heading 2 (which is the heading Pique uses) it will only left align, even if I have chosen centre.

    It will centre all the other headings (Heading 1, 3,4,5,6) just not two.

    the page is the one with the title ‘flour, yeast, salt, water’

    The issue is with the second heading ‘ the process’

    Hi David,

    The text is centred on the bloc where it’s been placed, however you’re right by saying that the whole bloc is not centred.
    Have you tried to see if the H2 gets centred in other posts?

    Anyway I’m going to tag this for the CSS specialist of the forum to see how to fix this.

    I have tried it on another website with pique, and its the same. H2 bloc is not centred. All the other H1,3,4,5 and 6 will centre.

    Hi David,

    I tried Pique on my blog and as you can see from this screenshot, the problem in centring the text appears only when using short text such as “The Process”. The other header below, which is two lines long, looks fine.

    I tried to add some spacing on the short text but with little improvements! That would not be ideal but I tried anyway.

    I’m not sure if it’s a theme bug, but just to double check I’ve tagged for this thread to Staff attention, so they know that you need assistance.

    We’re having a look at whether centering the h2 tag is possible without custom CSS — stay tuned.
    stefaniamattana – just a head’s up that the only tag used in the forum to get staff attention is modlook :)

    Hi @dspinkerton, due to the way the CSS is sturctured in Pique – and in particular for the h2, we need to enclose that h2 in a div tag and then set a style of text-align: center; in that div like this.
    <div style="text-align: center;"><h2>The process.</h2></div>
    In the editor, switch to the Text tab and replace the “The Process” h2 line with the above and update and it will be centered.
