Pique theme – 'Like' button does not disappear when I disable it.
-
Hello;
I’m customizing my blog with the theme ‘Pique’ but I have seen that even if I disable ‘Show Like button’ in the ‘Sharing’ option, it still remains visible. It has disappeared in the Home page, but not in the rest of panels.
It’s quite annoying because the blog is full of ‘Like’ buttons everywhere.
Looks like there’s some kind of bug in the template. Is there any way to fix it?
If I reinstall it… may I loose the information and design I have right now?
Thank you in advance for your assistance

Could you turn off Show likes. checkbox from the Edit Page screens of your respective pages?
If there is no Show likes. checkbox, then enable it by selecting Likes and Shares checkbox in the Screen Options at the top right corner of the Edit Page screen.

If you activate another theme your blog will get the new theme’s design. Here is the list of things that change when you switch themes: https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/#switch-themes

re: switching wordpress.com blog themesThe only themes we can use on WordPress.com hosted blogs are licensed and adapted to run on our multiuser software the themes are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and in your dashboard at > Appearance > Themes
See: http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/Themes are just “skins” on WordPress.COM hosted blogs. You can quickly and easily change themes on any WordPress.COM hosted blog to another one found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and no data will be lost or negatively affected by the change. The only time you may have to do some work is if you are changing to a dramatically different theme and have done any CSS editing.
Provided you are logged in as Admin under the same username account that registered the blog go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes, Browse themes until you find one you like and click the “activate” or the “preview” link, or type in the name of the theme you want to use when it appears.
The theme customizer https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/ provides a preview function for exactly that purpose ie. so you can view what a theme will appear like prior to changing one.
Note that every theme will have a detailed theme description page with set-up instructions and a live demo site page that you can consult. Here’s an example:

It’s not enough if you just disable them in the pages, but you need to go to ‘Edit’ and on the left ‘Configure > Sharing’, there you can also select where and when you want your like buttoms to appear. (Disable the option Pages).
Hope you solve it.
Regards
