Pique theme menus in mobile vs desktop views
-
Hi
I am testing out the Pique theme on a new website premium plan pkg hosted by WordPress.com. So far the four default menus that came with the theme look fine and accessible on desktop. The home page shows my Title and Tagline nicely. Secondary menu at bottom displays my social media links well. When I view this site in mobile (iPhone 6 to be exact) I notice the Title but tagline is gone. Also only 3 of the 4 default menus are visible, with the 4th (“Blog”) represented by 3 dots. If you touch the dots, the 4th menu appears below the others. It still works when you touch it again, but it is more likely to get missed when first visiting page. I have not changed or added any menus yet. Perhaps the menu fonts, though fine in desktop view in computer, are too large on mobile which may crowd the space needed for the 4th menu. I wonder if a CSS fix could adjust font size for menus when site is viewed in mobile or should menus switch to one Menu button with 3 lines like many responsive sites do. Appreciate any help with this and if the Title Tagline could also be visible in mobile. I have now set designerleatherworks.com to hidden instead of private so it can be viewed, just not indexed by search engines.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, the menu dotted bit is controlled within the theme javascript files and is not something we can change with CSS. It would require editing the theme javascript files, and we cannot do that at WordPress.com.
You can bring back the site description/tagline. Go to Customize > CSS, delete all the informational text in that window, and paste in the following custom CSS.
@media screen and (max-width: 767px) { .site-description { display: block; } } -
OK, I thought maybe the menu fonts growing large in mobile view could be made to downsize enough to make room for menu 4 which is blog. I may try using only 3 menus and create subs within each or test our other themes. So far I really like the Pique theme best. Thanks for the CSS fix for the tagline. Thanks for taking time to read and reply! 😊

You are welcome.

I thought that too and played around with it, but nothing I did brought back the blog menu items on smaller screens, even making the labels very tiny and removing all the padding. Wish it had been doable for you.
