Pique theme – multilanguage?

  hi, i need to have a 2-languages site, but i can’t see the 2th language on my homepage. actually i do, but the following panels don’t are translated… i’m talking about pique theme. anybody knows how to do? thanx.

  Hi there,

  Pique is one of our themes, so we can try to help you here, but you can also find the forum for the self-hosted version of this theme at https://wordpress.org/support/theme/pique

  However, this sounds like something that might be an issue with any multi-lingual plugin you’re using. Pique itself doesn’t have any multi-language support, so to have the site display in two languages would depend on the setup of your multi-lingual plugin rather than on anything in the theme.

  hi, thank you, i’m havin’ a look on the forum. i wasn’t able to find it by myself. i’m using polylang plug in, but it doesn’t work on the panels in the home page. in the rest of the site i’ve got no problem…

  Okay, so as the support for Polylang said there, this theme’s front page is not compatible with the way Polylang works to create multiple language versions of your site.

  I did some digging on our end and found the question has come up before, and I’m afraid we won’t be adding support for specific multi-lingual plugins to Pique: Any fix would have to be plugin-specific, as each plugin has its own unique way of handling multiple languages, so we can’t just make a theme mutli-language-friendly in a way that it will automatically work with all multi-lingual plugins.

  You might be able to add support for that plugin to the theme by adding some custom code to functions.php, or by creating a child theme, but we’re not able to help with that type of customization.
