Pique Theme – Static Page has Large Gap
-
Hello! I am using the Pique theme, and have an “about” section as the static frontpage. There is a large gap between the menu bar and the image and text of the page. It looks terrible on mobile devices and pretty bad on desktop. I cannot find any options to reduce the size and would think there is some way to change it. The other pages look different, but I would like the main page to be presentable. I can post a screenshot if that helps.
Thanks!

Hi there
To change in theme layout, you need to customize CSS for the same.
However, This feature is only available on the WordPress.com Premium and WordPress.com Business plans.
Please refer https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/

Hi nathras,
I tried testing using the Pique theme and it is designed that way.
It leaves a big gap in between the menu and the content. You can add an inline style to the content of your “About” page.
https://imgur.com/a/Jftf9G31. Edit the About page. https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/edit-pages-screen/
2. Click on the HTML tab above the editing area (next to the Visual tab). https://imgur.com/a/HVuioxS
There must be code like this:<div class="entry-content"
3. Add an inline style to it :<div class="entry-content" style="margin-top:-100px;">This should push your text and image to the top. You can change the value 100px according to your convenience.
Please try and see if it works for you.

Howdy,
Looks like your About page is currently set as a draft which is preventing it from being set as the Static Front Page. Try publishing the page and then selecting it as the Static Front Page in the Customizer.
If you’re still having trouble then take a look at the theme demo, as I think what you’re seeing may be by design. In that cause use the inline HTML/CSS @yashitamittal11 provided or upgrade to the Professional Plan or above and add additional CSS to your site.
