Pique theme – title and header image query

Hi,
I have just swapped my theme to the Pique theme which looks very nice. However, I have a couple of queries:-
1/How do I get the site title to be surrounded by a square box as per the demo and the styling of the other pages’ title?
2/ I would like the heading on the site pages to be as per the header image I have chosen using customization. Instead the header image is the featured image of each page. How does the header image work?

1/ What’s in the square box – Pique Cafe in upper case – is the site logo image. Square box is part of the image.
Pique doesn’t surround the site title with a square box. In the demo site site title is PIQUE and tagline is A one-page scrolling theme for small businesses.
2/ Header image you set in the Customizer > Header Image is only displayed as the background of the footer widgets.
Single posts and pages use featured images in the header.

Hi, Thanks ever so much for the speedy and comprehensive reply.
I missed the comment about the footer background using the header image on the theme’s info. page.
The theme is excellent but would be even better if the website title styling matched the rest of the site headings :).

As chaitanyamsv said, the site title font does match the other Pique headings. What you’re referring to on the Pique demo site is a site logo graphic, not the site title. You can create your own logo image in a graphics program if you prefer that over a site title, and upload it in the Customizer’s Site Title, Tagline, and Logo panel.

My install of Pique doesn’t have a Site Logo option in the Customizer, just a Title, Tagline and Icon under the Site Identity tab.
I just downloaded it yesterday so I presume it’s up to date, running on WordPress 4.4.1.

Hi stilldrunkenest – the Site Logo feature is available on self-hosted sites by activating the Jetpack plugin. You should see a prompt to activate that plugin in your dashboard.

There we go! There was no activation prompt when I installed the theme for whatever reason, but it’s all good now.

Hi , really new to wordpress. Trying to change things for my boss … and hopefully impress him. :)
I want to change from Quintus to Pique café. But it isn’t that simple. The Pique has a few static picitures in the background and I want his interior design pictures there.
Is it easier to start from scratch? And how do I work on it / see it / without publishing it – for his approval?

steamboatspringsmountaininteriors – if it’ll take a while to set up Pique, you might like to set up up a test site running Pique that you can work on until you’re ready to switch over the main site. Once your boss approves it, you can tweak the original site to match.

That’s actually what I did to open a chat was sign up a new account under a similar website name. His is http://www.steamboatintiors.com I would like a similar site to http://rumordesigns.com/
