Pique theme | Unable to change background colour manually

    I can’t seem to change the background colour of my home page manually, it only allows me to select a palette on the current theme(Pique)

    Hi,

    On a test site with Pique applied, I was able to use the following options at Customize > Colors & Backgrounds > Background > Manual:

    1. Select and image.
    2. Choose from the 12 optional color scheme under the description “These are colors that work well with the other colors in your palette.”
    3. Choose another background color scheme with the tool labeled “You can also pick your own color,” after clicking the corresponding link.

    I wonder if the manual options are working on your site, but not as you’d expect. When you select a color at the options I’ve numbered 2. and 3. above, that color only appears in the background of the site margins on larger screens, whereas the majority of the background takes on a much lighter shade of that color. On smaller screens the margins won’t be visible. Also, if an image is selected, on larger screens it will appear in the margins unfiltered, but elsewhere will display only faintly behind either the default white color or another chosen color.
