pirate link on my statistics as link clicked today
-
A “click on my links” (within Statistics) shows a pirate link that I never included. It’is a commercial one? (I have paid for not having publicities) This is the strange link:
http://free.heroicplay.com/index.jhtml?partner=AFDxdm019&sub_id=232685&theme=english0
How can I eliminate it?
Thanks

Hi there,
I’m not seeing that link in your stats for the past 30 days shown here:
https://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog=17482450&view=clicks&summarize&unit=1&numdays=30
Can you confirm you’re referring to the blog ensondeluz.wordpress.com?

Thanks,
This is my blog:
http://ensondeluz.com/
with WordPressAnd I attach an image of my statistics page of yesterday with the spurious link to:
It’s a publicity of “Free Marvel Games”. I didn’t put that link in my blog and, as you know, I have paid the fee in order not to have publicity inserted.
Again many thanks for any possible help.

Hi Ramón,
I went to your site stats and did find that link! Please note that those aren’t actually “ads” and they aren’t coming from us.
Unfortunately, this is actually a type of spam, and while not as popular as Comment or Email spam, Click spam is something you’ll encounter with any website.
When a browser clicks a link to go elsewhere, our stats record the destination of that click in your Click stats. With this, there are many browser extensions and add-ons (as well as even more viruses) which can falsify the click record, leaving behind their “spam” Click record instead. The same is true for spam Referrers (where a Referrer is the site a visitor came from).
This isn’t any infection on your computer, and it’s not an ad from us. This is just an infected visitor who is doesn’t know that they’re leaving this false trail as they browse.
However, please note that we are doing our best to filter out spam Clicks and Referrers, but just like with Comment and Email spam, sometimes a few will make it through.

Many thanks, Grace, for this very complete explanation. I assumed from the beginning that it couldn’t be any ad from you, but I was worried on something going through your very good filtering mechanisms . Obviously, the labyrinths of this 25 years old web maze can always give surprises. I feel really happy with your comment.
Greetings

Hello Grace!
In any case, I would like to have a way to identify on which of my posts (o comments to my posts) these spurious links have been introduced, in order ti delete them if possible…
Yesterday it was another one referred on the clicks statistics of the day. It is this one, if you open it:
http://stylechic-24.com/es/lo1/and it appears like (!) this on the statistics, before opening it:
adcash.com/script/pop_packcpm.php?k=532b0030068c8448485.928582&h=932b0acf94cdd0488b585f896c4e9dac8360059e&id=0&ban=448485&r=232685&data&subid&new=1It could be interesting to discover how they do to enter my blog…
Thanks again
Ramón

Hi there,
Like I said, it’s coming from your one of your viewers’ browsers so I wouldn’t be able to identify that.

Sorry, Grace, I went to the Chrome stomach an I have, for the moment, solved the language problem (I was schocked that all my posts were translated -“googlotaised”- automatically to Swedish).
