Pirated domain name and no access to blog

  • Unknown's avatar

A former real estate agent set up a blog on Word Press for our property (senior multi-housing), and linked it to a domain name he did not own. He has since gone MIA, absconding with access to this blog and all of the material and photos he posted. The building he was representing is in the process of purchasing the domain name from it’s owner, but how can we remove the link to his blog once we own the name? Since he lost his license, he will, I’m sure, just let the blog go and we do not want any incorrect information about our building out there (much less his name as a contact person!)

The blog name is gramercyburnsville.wordpress.com. The person who set up the blog linked it to http://www.gramercyclub.com, but that name belongs to Ciceron in Minnesota, and they have agreed to transfer the name back to my cooperative building, Gramercy Club at Burnhaven Drive. I’m not sure how to remove the link the agent/blogger has to my domain name. His license expired in July and he has not returned phone calls and no longer has a permanent address. All efforts to contact him have failed.
