Place ads on the sidebar in specific categories.

  Hi, I would like to know any code I can use (please give elementary placement instructions) which would enable me to put individual affiliate ads in the sidebar of specific category pages. For example I need pet related products to only show on the category Pets not on the front page or all category pages. My theme is Discy and I have tried Custom Sidebars plug in and the Advanced Ads plug in and neither works with the Discy question Categories page(s). Any direction on this would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

  Hi @timandula, I’m not familiar with Discy — is this site hosted here on our servers? If not, did you mean to post at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ ?

  Generally speaking though, even if you are using your own copy of WordPress, you could likely achieve this by using Jetpack’s Visibility option in Widgets. You can show a certain add on pages within a certain tag or category, for example.
