place particular Post at the top?

I have honestly tried everything and searched the forums. Nothing works. I want my first post to be the default post everyone sees, and subsequent posts to go under it. Can I not do this?
    Thanks in advance

Can’t it be done by going to options > reading and creating a “static” post? Thats how I do it for pages at least. Not sure about posts.

The only way to do it is to go in and edit the timestamp on the post each time you make a new post so that it appears above the new post. There is no “sticky post” option here at wordpress.com.

Your other choice is to create a static front page with the sticky post on it and then provide a link at the bottom of it to get to the main blog page.

Do be aware that static front pages will reduce your “google juice” (search engine rankings) since they pay more attention to the main page which in the case of a static page never changes.
