Sorry I do not understand your comment. I have a picture and I want it above the titel. Somebody always did this for me but now I am behind the laptop on my own and have tried everything but it does not work …I feel stupid

There is a section of the screen when writing a new blog post where you can choose featured image for each post.
Unless you mean the title of the whole website, in which case you will have to look at your Theme settings.
In my first reply I assumed you meant the title of a single post, but I see now that I could have misunderstood you.

No no…You understood me right. I am writing a new story and above it I would like to add a picture ….. Pfff hahaha it seems so difficult because I do not know where to look…

Well, it depends whether you use the new or the old editor! I always use the old one and I use a PC, not a phone or tablet.
But since you’re new I thought you might use the new screen so I went and had a look. To the left there is a menu list of things you can do to tweak your post, the third one down is called Featured image. Click on the arrow, then the button Set Featured Image, you will then be directed to your uploaded photos to pick one.
Depending on the theme you are using, the Featured Image will only show if it has a certain size, however. I use an old theme that needs really wide photos to show up!
In the OLD editor, Featured Image is in the righthand column, way down at the bottom. There are a lot of features and menus on WordPress, it takes some time to learn all of them!
