Placeholder image problem

Hello, I’ve been experiencing this problem for some time now and I really hope someone can help me! I’m using the theme called “Bookory” from Pavothemes.

The placeholder thumbnail/image shows instead of my most of my product images. When I add a new product, or remove and reupload an existing thumbnail image, it shows up on my website, but I can’t do this for all products.

When I hover over an image after clicking on a product it shows up. It also shows up when I click on it to make it larger. So this problem is with the thumbnail images. When shuffeling to see the other pictures of a product, every image is the placeholder image until I hover over it or click on it.

When I’m logged in and preview the website, everything looks normal, but that is just for me.

This is what I’ve tried so far:
    – changing to “storefront” theme and deactivating all plugins except woocommerce (it is still showing me the placeholder image)
    – clearing the cache from WP-admin.
    – checking the website from different computers and I’ve also used GeoPeeker to see how is looks from other countries
    – Checking for errors in Woocommerce System Status Report.
    – Changing the thumbnail picture to another custom
    – I’ve also double checked that all of the images are uploaded to the products that are not showing up

I really hope someone can help me solve this problem!

    Thanks

  • Hello,
I have verified that your site is not hosted on WordPress.com. In this case, you use the self-hosted version, the software of which is available on WordPress.org.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org sites are different. Check it out: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org

This forum is only focused on sites hosted on WordPress.com.

You can contact your host directly to get help with your issue.

WordPress.org community forums can be a good place to ask for help with this:
    http://wordpress.org/support/forums

I’m tagging the WordPress.com team to check the information.

    I hope the information helps.

  • Hey there, I can confirm the site isn’t hosted here. I redacted your status report since we won’t need that here.

You might try the Health Check plugin to confirm whether you see the same issue with a default theme and without other plugins enabled. Health Check will let you test without affecting the live site.

If you’re sure this theme is causing the issue, you can reach out to their support for assistance: https://pavothemes.com/contact/

Going forward, these forums are primarily for sites that use our free-tier hosting. We’re a little different from the WordPress software itself:
    https://wordpress.com/go/website-building/wordpress-com-vs-wordpress-org/

You’ll want to create an account at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ so you’ll have access to the correct community for your site. Or, you’d be welcome to host here; your plan would get direct support.

    I hope this helps!
