placement of photos

  I’m uploading photos okay, but every time I click “send to editor” the image shows up at the top of the blog post — despite my cursor being placed at the spot in the text where I hope the image to be. Then, when I got to drag the photo down to the desired spot, sometimes it works, sometimes it just either pops back up to the top of the page or some random spot in the text. Must be doing something wrong here, seems it should be easier! Thanks for any help.

  I had same problem intill I started using a off line blog editor called “Windows Live Writer”
  this off line blog editor works great for for wp.com
