Placing a box/frame around some parts of a post

Hi again,
I have another dumb question. I have a cooking blog and I would like to place a frame or box around the recipe itself, but not the entire post. I also don’t like how it puts more spacing in between each line when I start typing the lists out.

I am using the Enterprise theme. I’ve tried entering different codes that I found online, but none of them are working. TIA for your help! :)
