Placing of widgets in footer.

  I am wanting to place a ‘visit counter’ widget in my footer area. But I’m not sure which space to place it in for best results. I have one image on the extreme left of the footer and I want the counter to be placed in line with the image but not too near it. When I’ve tried before it looks crowded with one widget sitting almost on top of the other.
  Which area/position would be best?

  This is really a subjective question ;)

  The best you can do is try out different themes and see which one would be more receptive to having a counter on the bottom row. But I would recommend putting the counter on the sidebar if possible.

  Thank you eksith. I have placed the counter in the sidebar in second widget area and it does look better there.

  May I suggest, ClustrMaps instead of that counter? This is what I use and they’re very detailed on visitor locations as well.
