Placing photo in sidebar fails

  I have followed the instructions for placing a photo in the sidebar but all I get is the URL. Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

  your picture should be visible

  let me explain more correctly:
  after the last quotation mark you need a space
  then
  />
  with no space between the to symbols

  I got it to work. I was hitting the change button before saving. That was the problem. Many thanks for your help!
