placing posts in separate boxes

Hi, I was wondering how I would combine my photo posts in a way so all the person has to do is click on each box and the rest of the post and photos will show up. http://julienealvoh.wordpress.com

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Try the built in gallery feature out: http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

A gallery displays images that have been uploaded into a post or page as a set of thumbnail image where you can click on any image. When you click on an image in a gallery, it opens a carousel view of the images and you can press the right arrow key to scroll through images.

Thanks :) I like the gallery option. Is there a way to have a thumbnail of each condensed post side by side and when you click on it, it gives you the full page of that particular event.

Is there a way to have a thumbnail of each condensed post side by side?

At WordPress.com, the Custom Design upgrade will let you change how existing elements on a page look using CSS, but you cannot change how the features work or add HTML or PHP to change the underlying functionality of a theme.

When you say “thumbnail of each condensed post side by side”, do you mean the gallery thumbnails? If so, note that you can configure the gallery to show images side by side using the [gallery] shortcode.

For example, if you enter the following for a post where you have uploaded images, it will display a gallery of images with two medium-sized images side by side for each row:

    [gallery columns="2" size="medium"]

If you entered this gallery shortcode, then the images would show up as three thumbnail-sized images side by side:

    [gallery columns="3" size="thumbnail"]

The thumbnail and medium size settings are done on the Settings → Media page.

In your pages right now, you are not using any galleries that I can see.

One thing to note which you must understand before working with galleries is that the images must be attached to the post or page where you want to display the gallery. Images get attached at the time of upload. So, if you upload images to a post and then decide to delete that post and start again, the next post you create won’t have any images in it’s gallery. Does this make sense?

To experiment with the gallery shortcodes I posted above in your blog right now, try adding them one at a time to the following post in your blog and then click the preview button:

Make sure you have read the gallery help page:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

And when you click on it, it gives you the full page of that particular event.

At WordPress.com, clicking on an image in a gallery will open a full screen view of the image in a carousel view and you can use the arrow keys to scroll through the images. There is not a way to change that at WordPress.com at this time.
