Placing posts on another page

I have a page titled “Off Topic” on which I’d like to add posts, just as on the home page. Is there a way I can do this and have the posts be just like those on the home page…with a More tag, etc? Thanks.

Among the most common misconceptions is that bloggers fail to understand is
(1) there is only one page we can post to in any blog and
(2) the static pages http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ they create do not automatically update.Only the dynamic pages like Categories, Tags and Archives created by the software when we publish a post we that we have assigned Categories and Tags too will update automatically update with new posts.
By default the front page of the blog is the post that displays all posts in your blog. Though there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts (not pages) http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page.
We organize posts by assigning categories to them. You can create a custom menu and add the dynamic categories pages into the custom menu.

What your actually did was to convince me to remove the “Off Topic” page. I’m trying to establish a blog for a specific purpose and I shouldn’t expect visitors to read things that are not about that specific purpose :-)

I’m smiling because that sounds like I helped you. Do know that you can create an Off-Topic category and add that dynamic category page to your custom menu though.

So it sounds like if I create an “About” page with its own navigation tab, this About page will not post like a regular post to my followers (ie, the followers won’t get an email like they do with “posts”). Correct?

Correct. Static pages are for content that rarely changes.
