Placing text below featured image

Hello, I am trying to move text that is currently overlayed on my homepage’s featured image to right below the featured image and above the footers I’ve created. I am running the Edin them.

The desired result is to leave the bulleted text on the image and to move the rest of the text below.

I am not familiar with CSS editing and am thinking that this is a feature of the Edin theme that is fixed.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Hmmm, we would have to surround the paragraphs with a div and assign a CSS id to the div in the editor and use position: absolute; to do this. Since Edin is a responsive design that adjusts for all screen/window widths, it becomes very complex to keep the spacing for the paragraphs below the image as the width changes. With position: absolute; the text will basically float free and above all other elements, so the other page elements will not adjust position for the text.

The short answer on this is that I can’t see a way to do this cleanly that will work on all window/screen sizes.

If instead of using the front page template, you set your front page to the Grid template and then set your approach, about me and getting started pages as children of the front page, they will display in a grid below the featured image. With the Grid page template, the featured image is show smaller and the text content of that page displays below the image. The problem of course is that would also mean your bulleted items as well.

You can have a look at the Edin demo Grid page here. The white section below the featured image is the place where the front page content would display.

Thank you, thesacredpath. I opted for the grid template and will stick with that. I appreciate the attention to detail you took in your response.
